OSLO filter

AstralPool high performance vertical bobbin wound filters are manufactured using reinforced polyester with glass fibre, which is completely anti-corrosive, with high mechanical, chemical and thermal resistance. One of its main characteristics is the height of its filtering layer. The higher this is, the better its performance.

– Sight glass: This can be placed in different positions for regular inspection of the level of sand and checking of the expansion of the layer during the washing phase.
– Side manhole: This can be placed in different positions to unload the filtering medium and facilitate access to the inside.
– Nozzle plate: False bottom system with nozzle plate for air washing. Water consumption decreases with the provision of air during the washing phase, reducing costs and contributing to preserving water reserves. Areas of stagnant water found in conventional collection arm models are also removed.
– Collection systems: Collector system of arms with 0.3 mm grooves, uniformly distributed for the water to circulate properly.
– Maximum operating temperature 50ºC.
– Complies with the European Directive 97/23/CE on Pressure Equipment included in Section 3 of Article 3.
– Hydraulic pressure test at 1.5 x maximum acceptable pressure.
– Resistance and thickness calculations are based on the regulations BS-4994 and AD-Merkblatt N1.

ADVANTAGES:
– With increased filtering power, higher water quality is obtained. Increasing the retention power reduces the levels of turbidity and pollutants in filtered water.
– The time between washes increases proportionally with the height of the layer, so that shorter interruptions in filtering take place, as well as lower water consumption as the number of washes necessary decreases. There is also less erosion of filtering material.
– The most effective filtering and washing is obtained from the best combination of anthracite, sand and gravel recommended for 1.2 m high layers, decreasing the loss of load and increasing the power of retention.

– Vinylester interior coating: For interior coatings resistant to ozone (max. ozone concentration 0.4 ppm) or other agents, it is essential to specify clearly the characteristics of the liquid to be filtered, in order to manufacture the filter to order.
