In pools with a constant perimeter overflow system, these panels provide
competition swimmers with support and a boost.
2. Float lines
Used to mark the competition lanes, these lines prevent the waves produced by
swimmers from affecting the progress of adjacent swimmers. The placement of the float line and
their units on nylon cord with an individual rotation system are essential in minimising all types
of surface disturbances. Placing lane lines along the sides of the pool to cushion the impact from
the waves is also recommended. They consist of injected or blow moulded plastic materials and, due
to their design and flexibility, can be collected with a winder for storage. We offer an extensive
range of models, lengths, hook systems and colours from which to choose.
3. False start indicators
As an essential part of competition pool equipment, these indicators work by
allowing the float lines to fall lengthwise across the pool in order to notify the competition
swimmers that a false start has been declared.
4. Backstroke turn indicators
In backstroke competitions, these indicators are a fundamental tool used to warn
swimmers that they are approaching the edge of the pool. AstralPool can accommodate pools of
different widths with its variety of indicator posts and flags for backstroke swimming.
5. Overflow grating
AstralPool’s wide range of gratings have a variety of assembly systems, which
feature straight lines at 45º - 90º angles as well as curved lines.
6. Swimmer starting blocks
As a swimmer’s start plays a crucial role in achieving good results, the starting
blocks should assist in making this moment as ideal and effective as possible. Thanks to their
design’s high resistance and stability, the AstralPool blocks ensure that the start conditions are
perfect and free of any possible setbacks. Manufactured in AISI 316 stainless steel, the platform
and step are made of 100% non-slip polyester and fibreglass.
7. Starting block platforms
AstralPool has created a platform for the starting block area. It consists of an
AISI – 304 stainless steel bench and plastic gratings. As it has fasteners for the float lines
built in, the platform is versatile and can also be used as a turning panel.
8. Ladders
The ladders are manufactured in stainless steel. This has always been one of
AstralPool’s specialties, due to the fact that it was the first thing we did when we began making
pool equipment more than 35 years ago.
9. Moveable wall and bottom
The moveable wall (bulkhead) is completely and vertically immersed in the pool. An
architectural barrier can be created by moving the wall lengthwise across it. By dividing the pool
into different areas for various uses, this system allows us to optimise the pool’s space.
A multi-functional pool is possible with the use of the moveable bottom. Different depths can be
achieved depending on the uses planned for the pool. An immersed base acts as a floor and is
secured with hydraulic pistons. When activated, these pistons lift the entire platform to the
desired height.
