What is Freepool?

It is AstralPool’s comprehensive new system for the treatment and disinfection of the water in public swimming pools. The Freepool system disinfects the water in the swimming pool with the most natural and sustainable technology on the market, Neolysis, and it corrects the pH levels by injecting high efficiency CO2 through a GVG system, whilst reducing water consumption.

It is a system designed by the company that provides not only perfect-quality swimming pool water but also a perfect-quality environment, with benefits for the health and comfort of the facility’s users.

The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and the Barcelona Hospital Clínic have carried out a scientific study that confirms these benefits and that for the first time has simultaneously measured data on the impact of the swimming pool on the health of people and the environment.

What advantages does it have for the installations?

The use of Freepool increases the durability of the swimming pool’s components, such as stainless steel elements (stairs, podiums, water games, etc.)

It improves the safety of the installation: thanks to the automated control of the water disinfection system it avoids handling errors and it increases the safety of the installation by avoiding the addition of chemical products.

What is Neolysis?

It is a solution for the treatment and disinfection of swimming pool water based on electrolysis and ultraviolet technology. It combines the key features and benefits of these technologies and it corrects their drawbacks or limitations:

• It is not necessary to add salt to the swimming pool basin.

• It provides a highly effective double disinfection (Electrolysis + UV).

• Increased ability to eliminate chloramines.

• It increases the positive effects of sustainability by saving water and energy.

• It reduces the concentration of chloramines without the need to wash the filter.

Therefore, Neolysis is synonym with sustainability, disinfection, innovation, health, safety and water quality.

Furthermore, as no chlorine products are added it is not necessary to store, handle or dose any type of chemical product, thus increasing safety levels.

What is the high-efficiency GVG System?

This is a device that regulates the swimming pool’s pH through the injection of CO2. It is controlled by software based on the criteria of maximum sustainability and efficiency and it communicates with the other water treatment equipment.
